Mailing Lists

There are two PAMGUARD mailing lists, hosted on our sourceforge site. PAMGUARD users and developers are strongly encouraged to sign up to one or both of these groups.

The groups are currently un-moderated. This will change should we experience any problems with spam.

PAMGUARD Users

This group is intended for people who use the PAMGUARD software either in the field or for offline data analysis.

It is there so that users can share information and advice on setup, configurations, or even to look for someone to run PAMGUARD for them in the field.

The PAMGUARD guardians will also use this list to notify users of new releases and bug fixes. Bug reports should be still be emailed directly to support@pamguard.org

PAMGUARD Developers

This group is intended for people who are working on developing the JAVA code (or associated plug ins in other languages).

It is there so that developers can seek assistance from other developers and can notify one another of software enhancements.

Bug Reporting

When PAMGUARD runs on Windows, there should generally be a DOS Window (or Command prompt) window open, possibly hidden behind the main PAMGUARD display. When reporting a bug, it is helpful if you can copy and paste the text contents of this screen into your email to support@pamguard.org.
